After Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast, a burden grew in the hearts of Tim and Jenn Schwartz to be a part of the recovery. After leading numerous trips to Mississippi, they sensed the call of God to join hands with the people of Galveston who are still only beginning the process of recovery from Hurricane Ike. In January of 2009, Tim and Jenn left the church were pastoring and moved into a travel trailer in Galveston to begin the work of on-site recovery.
You can read about the recovery work that is happening at: timandjenn.wordpress.com/.
In the midst their recovery work, Jenn and Tim received wonderful news that there were going to be parents. A matter of weeks after that news, Tim experienced a seizure while driving and when doctors examined him, they found a 1x2 inch tumor on his brain. He is inviting others to travel with him on the journey of brain cancer at their second blog, "Me and My Brain Tumor" (meandmybraintumor.wordpress.com/).
Follow his journey and remember them, and their unborn daughter (or son), in your prayers regularly.
